Our commitment to giving back is reflected in the wide range of charitable initiatives we support, both locally and internationally.
Each year, our Charity Council , made up of pupils across the school, votes to support a local charity, helping raise awareness and funds through various events and activities. In recent years, we’ve proudly supported organisations such as Chestnut Tree House, Handcross Pantry, and Befriended, all of which do vital work within our Sussex community.
On a global level, we maintain a longstanding connection with Sparrows in South Africa, supporting their mission to care for and educate disadvantaged children and young adults.
We also take part in national and international appeals, including collecting and sending Christmas shoeboxes as part of Operation Christmas Child, bringing joy to children around the world during the festive season.
Through these activities, our pupils learn how to care for others, be kind, and make a real difference in the world.
Our pupils understand the importance of environmental conservation from an early age. Our green pledge is embedded within our culture.
Our Forest School is committed to preserving the environment through sustainable practices, such as recycling, composting, and conserving resources.
Alongside Brighton College, we too have developed Beach School sessions, where pupils develop a deep understanding of the significance of accountability, compassion, and environmental awareness while participating in beach clean-up activities.
We offer many other ways for children to get involved with our pupil-led Eco Council, Gardening Club and Conservation Club. These enable children to gain a deeper understanding of sustainable practices and how they can make a difference to the world they live in.
Our spaces provide the best environment for learning and growth.
